This is what next generation of desktop graphics going to look like? It resembles to the current AMD beast, ATI Radeon HD 5970, but its dimensions have somehow been made even larger.
AMD’s Radeon HD 6990 — a dual-GPU monstrosity that’s set to serve as the company’s 2011 flagship – which has just been shown off at an Asia Pacific Fusion Tech Day gathering. Radeon HD 6990 will be Microsoft DirectX 11 compliant and support Eyefinity multi-display (driving up to three displays at once for a 7680×1600 maximum resolution) with raw potential for overclocking thanks to the card’s Overdrive technology. This polygon cruncher is going to be available in late Q1 2011. Start making space in your Cabinets for this Dual GPU beast ,this card is going to require a lot of space!
